Where it all began. Our first real love. As a live acoustic duo we take music’s greatest (and latest) songs and give them our own unique flavour, providing cruisy vibes and loved-up feels perfect for wedding music.

The beauty of a live wedding entertainment is that the sound can easily evolve. We swap acoustic guitars for sexy electrics. We can sit and stomp out some lazy live bluesy wedding music, or stand up as a rockin' live wedding band to get the dancefloor loaded.

As much as you may love live music (we hear ya!), the art to real wedding entertainment is knowing what works & when. Luckily we do. When your party calls for it we'll switch from wedding singers to your d-floor appeasing wedding DJ!

Yep, our very own Andy is a civil marriage celebrant. As your celebrant, with his natural, warm, reverent and easy-going style he'll take care of your wedding legalities while creating a relaxed, bespoke and thoroughly enjoyable ceremony.

Heck, we love heading up the M1 for a Brisbane or Sunshine Coast Wedding too! We strive to offer the industry’s most flexible, professional and tailored approach to your event from pre-ceremony atmosphere to the last song of your rocking reception.

Wedding music and celebrancy for Gold Coast weddings, Byron Bay weddings and beyond. Jake & Andy (that’s us!) works closely with your day’s MC (and event/venue coordinator) to ensure smooth sailing, and the perfect atmosphere, entertainment and wedding day soundtrack.

With Andy as your marriage celebrant Jake will be your solo acoustic wedding singer. Once the ceremony proceedings have been completed, Jake & Andy ‘the duo’ will re-form and utilise a combination of acoustic and electric instruments, live looping and DJ sets to deliver the wedding music – wedding soundtrack – you’d envisioned and that your party requires.

So basically, your day sounds amazing from “I do” to “yewww!“

Years of lounge room strumming followed by years of pub jamming, turned Jake & Andy into the full-sounding eclectic acoustic/electric duo that they are today. Leaving the ‘public’ live music scene behind a handful of years ago, Jake & Andy now exclusively provides live wedding music for ceremonies and wedding receptions, as well as live entertainment for private events & corporate functions on the Gold Coast, in Byron Bay, Brisbane and further abroad.

Jake & Andy the acoustic duo is renowned for their tight yet relaxed, original sound – playing songs that everyone knows and loves, the J&A way – and their impressive genre & era jumping playlist. Jake & Andy play a host of modern events, where music & ‘atmosphere’ is crucial, and constantly impresses wedding & corporate function audiences of all ages.

As an acoustic duo Jake & Andy’s combine acoustic guitar rhythms with a vocal mix ranging from gritty to soulful, throw in some tasteful lead guitar licks, a smattering of blues-harmonica, then a cocktail of foot-tapping bass-stomp & tambourine, for added groove-ability and sex appeal.

From there J&A evolves as an event requires – acoustic guitars give way to sexy electrics, before they morph into your event or wedding DJ to bring the night home with a bang.

  • We asked Jake & Andy to play at our wedding after hearing a few of their live gigs and falling in love with their acoustic sound. Jake & Andy were very professional from the first email till the end of our party. They brought all the required equipment and liaised with the venue directly so we could just relax. Everyone loved their repertoire of songs and they really got the party going. When asked for few extra songs, the boys did it smiling.
