05 Dec The Inaugural ‘IDAY Awards’
You might have noticed that we’re pretty big on paying it forward. We’re not religious but that ‘doing unto others…’ mantra is right up one of our favourite alleys. We’re bloody lucky to be able to help people celebrate the best day of their lives and call it a job. And that dream vocation is only made all the more radder when we do it along side other wedding and event industry folk that are cut from the same kind of mould we constantly strive towards.
So, because it’s that time – and because we’re not that down with being cliched – we decide to trade the chrissy cards in for something a little more ‘us’. (and a little more meaningful, if that’s not too sacrilegious to say!?)
This year we created a batch of awards instead. The I Do And Yewww! Awards – or ‘the IDAYs’ – is our way of saying that we really liked the cut of your jib this year, and that we hope to spend even more time with it (and you) next year! This is the first time we’ve awarded the IDAYs, and we hope to make it a long standing, annual, end-of-year/silly-season tradition.
This year Jake & Andy soundtracked more than seventy weddings and events and have dished out 30 awards to our favourite event and wedding venues & wedding vendors.
