12 Jun Gettin’ Sticky Wicket (nana-na-na-nana-na)
No, Will Smith is not making a Viv Richards biopic.
We’ve scored a part in What’s On In Byron this month. Yep, we’re playing live music, at a public bar, in the bay, and we’re stoked! Don’t get us wrong, we love soundtracking the “I Do’s”. But one of the frequent double-edges to us being so heavily booked is that when couples enquire as to where they can go to see us perform live before booking us, we generally say, “err, soz but ya probs can’t” – or something equally as profesh and eloquent.
This is us officially saying, we’re playing live music in Byron Bay and you’re invited!
Y’see, we’re generally, basically, booked out twelve months in advance. Sounds like a stretch but it’s true. No, we’re not entirely booked out for the next year – there’s available dates – but the good ones definitely go early. Like, way early. We’ve already got a couple of weddings booked in for 2020(!).
Anyway, the good news is that we’ve lined up a few dates at one of Byron’s coolest live music venues, The Sticky Wicket Bar. And the best part… we get to play whatever the eff we want! Again, we’re not saying that we have to play crappy music at weddings (’cause we definitely don’t!) – in fact we’re constantly pumped on how traditionally un-wedding-y our Brides & Grooms want us to be – but let’s just say it’ll be nice to reply with a flat ‘no’ to anybody who asks us to play any song by a certain ginger Pom.
It might not be traditional “wedding songs” or “wedding music”, but we’ll be playing both acoustic and electric guitars, so come get a feel for our style, and say g’day between sets.
The real message is; COME TO THE STICKY WICKET BAR WEDNESDAY JUNE 27!
Ok there’s a few messages; COME SAY G’DAY! COME HAVE A BEER!!
Also; COME SEE & HEAR US PLAY… WHO KNOWS WHAT!!!
PS. We’ll even play some wedding-y songs for you!
